New things we've updated or added to since launching will be listed here. Major changes will, most likely, get their own thread.

I've added some more "trophies" to the list. There are now over 40 trophies to "earn"

I've made some visual changes to the forum view and thread view titles - they now correspond with their category colour and also show the category icon - purely eye-candy but it is something I wanted to try and achieve

You can now add a Youtube video to your profile.

Got to https://youtube.com, find a video and copy the URL in the address bar.

Back on Forum Banter, go to your account preferences - https://forumbanter.com/account/preferences or view the User Account Menu (shown below)



Scroll about halfway down the settings until you see Profile Video. In the box paste in the end part of the Youtube URL (the sequence after watch?v=), select whether you want the video to autoplay or not and save your preferences.



All done.

Our little pocket rocket has been busy again. I'm not sure if she's finished but member profiles have been given a makeover.

We may change the profile cover feature to another addon (not sure if the one we used previously is being developed for this software or not) but the general layout should remain intact.

Some other little bits and pieces site-wide have been tidied up and quick links to What's Popular and Your News Feed have been embedded in the forum list.

I've been updating parts of the site over the past few days, this has included updating features, removing some features and replacing some with alternative versions.

One of the features that I've replaced is the ability to add covers to your member profile. It works in much the same way as the old one. Go to your profile page, click cover and upload an image. You can then reposition it - there are more features but I've not activated them all yet. One downside of swap add-ons is I lost some of the covers - so you may need to re-add yours or add a new one.

Another feature of this add-on is the ability to add covers to threads.

Click on the "Cover" link in the thread



Select "Modify cover image" and upload the image or copy an image URL into the "Download cover for URL" box. Then reposition it and save.



I've updated a ton of add-ons but none will look any different than before.

I'm "sharpening" up the site theme so hopefully, it looks a little more pleasing on the eye.

Forum software and the media gallery software have both been updated to the latest builds. As always, if you come across any problems or errors let us know.

For a bit of fun we've installed Sportsbook and Credits add-ons.

The Sportsbook is like a virtual bookies so it will mainly cover sporting events although their will be "special" events and also some virtual events (if you were a member of General Chatter you'll know what to expect - more on that at a later date).

I've also gone ahead and added a "credits" system so you have a currency to spend in the Sportsbook.

You'll earn virtual credits for logging in, making posts, creating new threads, creating/voting in polls etc.

We decided to base the initial amount each member started with on their "trophy points" so the more active you've been in certain areas of the site the more credits you'll have available to begin with...and the more active you are, the more credits you will earn.

Credits won't be used anywhere else except the Sportsbook.
